Am I A Guru?
If I know a little more about a certain topic than someone else does that make me a guru? There seems to be a lot of “guru” bashing going on. Why would I want to bash a guru or even a guru wanna be if they have something to share that I can learn from?
I don’t have to agree with everything something else says, after all I do have a brain and am able to think for myself (on occasion at least). Just because I might disagree strongly with the other person’s point of view doesn’t mean that everything they say is useless. Let my thinking be challenged.
Since it is my goal to learn at least one new and interesting thing every day, I need to keep an open mind about what is being said or taught, then evaluate it according to my personal standards of integrity and useability.
If I run across an idea, or thought, or program, or a new way of doing something that had never crossed my path before, then brain “wake up and see if it is feasible to add it to your ever expanding methods of learning and doing”.
So, if I share something you have never heard of or applied to your life, then I guess I could be your guru.
